Current Awareness Service

 If you have an ongoing interest in a specific medical topic, Burlew Medical Library will create a subject profile for you, update your profile on a regular basis and email you the results.  Examples of subjects might be: “Alternative Medicine” or “Pain Control in Children” or “Patient Record Confidentiality”,

 To initiate the service, please call the library at (714) 771-8291 or email Jsmith@sjo.stjoe.org.  We’ll interview you and send you a trial response.  Based on your feedback from the trial, we’ll edit your profile and begin sending you updates.  If you receive the service electronically, it is free for SJH/CHOC Medical Staff and employees.  If you want to receive a printed list, or if you don’t have email, there is an annual fee of $30.
